A Challenging George Washington Quote
Every once in a while a Christian will come across a thought, a saying, a quote, a verse – something – that is so challenging, so eye-opening that it flips their world over.
A Christian speaker proclaims a statement that knocks the breath out of them.
A favorite worship band launches a new single that stirs up a revival fire deep in their heart.
Or a quote from a long ago Christian hits them square between the eyes and they surrender their entire lives, -truly surrender- their purpose, their day to day, their thoughts, everything to the King.
Not long ago, I read this George Washington quote. It may be words on a paper to some people, but to me, it called me to make Jesus my habit. “ALL.”
Let’s not make excuses. Let’s not ignore God when He calls us to Him. Let’s not let the desire die. Let’s not abandon God’s Holy Spirit when we decide what to wear, how to treat others, what our marriages will look like, what attitude we will adopt for each day.
Let this quote challenge you – challenge you – to pursue holiness, to pursue a Christ-like life.
