The Most Important Resolution to Make This Year

January 12, 2016 by Alison Tiemeyer 6 Comments

What's the most important resolution to make this year? Christian, it is to determine your worth & identity in Christ! Sure, you can lose weight, determine to read your Bible daily, or attempt to stop yelling at your spouse. But if your identity isn't rooted in Christ, what good are these goals? Start 2016 with this one key goal!

I recently wrote a post challenging the notion of so-called "pro-choice Christians." I was dismayed by one Facebook response to that post. It involved a casual, "This doesn't change my mind." Followed by a *shrug*. I think it was the shrug that hurt the most. Not because I was personally acquainted with this woman. I wasn't. And not because her comment was … [Read more...]

Remembering the God Who Reigns

Remembering the God Who Reigns

In American culture, we often struggle to retain the perspective that God is holy and that He reigns. We're always battling for control of our lives, forgetting His sovereignty. I admit that sometimes I even forget to consider Him in decisions. It is those times that we desperately need to adjust our perspective. We must view God as He truly is, in all His glory, power … [Read more...]
