The Lord’s convicted me to write a Chapter One update post; one I hadn’t planned on writing.
Here it goes:
Do you notice any difference between last week’s “coffee bar” photo –
and this week’s “coffee bar” photo?
No, not the coffee brewing or the red coffee cup. No, not the bananas turned the opposite way or the raisins that should be in the pantry!
No, how about the three boxes of K-Cups!?
I confess, I’m obsessed! With coffee and deals!
I never buy K-Cups. We have a re-usable coffee filter and buy bag coffee. But, Harris Teeter had a great deal! Each of those boxes are normally $10 each. I bought all of them for $14. And, let’s be honest, one of them is Q’s!
Truthfully, I also spent $100 on groceries on Monday. $100 after coupons, sales, and discounts…$100! I blame it on Q! I never take him to the store with me…this is why!
Ok, enough of the excuses and finger pointing!
I really need you all to be in prayer for me. I don’t want this book study to just be about the “book study”. I don’t want this to just be about having blog posts to write about or interacting with all of you. I want this study to change my perspective, to draw me closer to the Lord, and to change how I live…for Him.
Will you commit to pray for me and all of those that are participating in this study? Leave a comment and I’ll commit to pray for you, also.
And, if you still haven’t bought a copy, it’s not too late! You can purchase one here!

Christie! I hear you about coffee- I am a coffee snob – certain brand (local) with certain creamers in certain amounts, and I need it every day around 2:30 pm (middle of nap time for my kiddos).
I understand what you are getting at with this book being more than just a source for material. I am praying that God can focus the eyes of your heart to embrace the lessons waiting for you in this book.
Thank you for linking up with Cozy Book Hop – I’m anxious to hear about your thoughts each week.

Marissa,
I am such a SNOB! I can switch up the brand, but stick to a couple of favorites and I have my certain creamer, sugar, yada yada yada! I also have my cup around naptime…time to enjoy it!
Thank you for your prayers! Less of me and more of HIM! 🙂

I fix regular coffee in the mornings and share the pot with my husband but during the day especially during the fall and winter I enjoy k-cups. We search for deals and coupons because my children love drinking tea, hot chocolate, and apple cider k-cups. Christie says
Diane,
Yes, they are definitely a “treat” around here, as well!
