Q and I have been in ministry together for almost 8 years. Q’s been in ministry for almost 12 years. We have experienced the highest of highs and I’m sure we’ll experience the lowest of lows that ministry to has to offer. But one thing is for sure, we know that we know that we know, that the Lord has called us to minister to the body of Christ.
Sometimes you might wonder what makes an effective ministry? Is it the number of people that are attending on a Sunday morning? Is the greatness of the student event you put on over the weekend?
No! To us, effective ministry is making disciples that make disciples! We could have 10 kids in our student ministry and what would matter is that those 10 kids changed the world for Jesus! If those 10 kids gave their lives to the Lord, to ministry, to the mission field, to making disciples, our ministry was effective!

I loved F. Dean Hackett’s post, What is the Measure of Effective Ministry? It encouraged me and helped me to know that we are doing this right. That we are focused on what matters. Solid disciple making!

That’s exactly the essence of ministry work. Multiplying the number so as that the message reaches even the furthest person.
