Every day I look at my kids and I thank the Lord for them. If only you knew how many times I prayed for the opportunity to raise little ones in the Lord.
But then I look at them and I realize what a huge responsibility I’ve been given.
The world threatens to take hold of them. The enemy would love to keep them for himself.
And I’m left to pray.
To pray that one day they’ll know what adoption in Christ means.
That they’ll know what the Savior’s love means for them.
That they’ll know what true life in Christ means.
That they’ll know what a friend Jesus is.
That they’ll say, “Take my heart and form it…to yours, Lord.”
I’m thankful that I not only have the word of God to guide me, but extra biblical resources as well. Resources like My Friend Jesus: The Gospel for Kids help bring Christ to life for my kids. Although this book is a little more advanced for my little ones, it will be a great resource as they grow older.
