It’s been super quiet around the blog the last few weeks and I just wanted to stop in and let everyone know what’s been going on and why it’s been so quiet!
Many of you know that I started a social media management business back in December. To say that I love “my job” is an understatement! I love seeing blogs and businesses grow through their social media outlets and I love helping them! But, it’s a lot of work and seems to take up most of my free time. So, that’s a major reason for the lack of activity around here.
But, we’ve also had some personal issues come up through the blog. Some of you may have noticed that I’ve taken almost all of Moriah’s pictures down and I’ve reverted her adoption story to draft form.
The blog started back in 2009 as a way to keep our friends and family up to date on our adoption journey. For a couple of years I updated sporadically and connected with quite a few adoptive families. Both Moriah and Kharis’ adoption situations were directly related to this space – for that reason I’ll be forever grateful for what the blog has brought to our lives. But, over the last few months I’ve realized that my children and their safety, specifically Moriah, are more important than blogging.
I know that many of you are interested in our personal lives; our adoption journey’s, ministry, and every day life. But, as the blog has grown, our anonymity has been lost. People have found us, contacted us, and made claims that have left us a bit uneasy. To be honest, I haven’t really had a desire to blog ever since.
So, for that reason, personal posts (especially pertaining to Moriah) will be at a minimum for the foreseeable future.
I hope that each of you will stick around. The Lord has a purpose for this space. I’m just not really sure what that is at the moment!
