Three years ago I could have never imagined where the Lord would lead our family. We were at a stand still in the foster to adopt program and we just weren’t sure how or when our family would grow. My heart yearned to know what it felt like to be a mommy and to experience the “firsts” that life has to offer. Little did we know that just two months later we’d be the parents of our Moriah.
We experienced her first smile…
…and so much more.
And just two years later we’d be blessed by another bundle of joy. Our Kharis.
When you fear that you’ll never know what it feels like to be a mom, every first is special. Because I didn’t birth my babies, seeing their beautiful faces and holding them for the first time are by far my greatest “firsts”. No amount of money could stand in the way of my love for these two!
So when invited me to be a part of their Celebrating Firsts campaign, I couldn’t help but think about all of the “firsts” I’ve been blessed to experience these last few years.
