Tommy Nelson provided a copy of The Story of Christmas for me to review and keep. All opinions are my own! This post may contain affiliate links!
Can you believe Christmas is less than two months away? This time last year I would have had most of my gifts bought. Not so this year! It’s coming fast and I’m just not ready! Today, I’m sharing another great Tommy Nelson resource; one perfect for the Christmas season.
The Story of Christmas is just that, the true story of Christmas. This 20 page book walks children through the angel Gabriel’s visit to Mary, their trip to Bethlehem, Jesus’ birth, and teaches them that Christ’s birth was just the beginning of God’s perfect plan; Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. The truth about Christmas is so clearly portrayed in this little book and I’m honored to be able to share it with my girl’s this Christmas season.
The Story of Christmas is perfect for the littlest ones in your family. This board book (with a cute handle to carry it around with) makes it easy for little fingers to turn the pages. Moriah still isn’t quite as gentle with her books as we’d like for her to be, so these type of books are our favorite.
Here’s what Tommy Nelson has to say about this great resource!

I have a baby so it’s still too early, but I used to teach in a Christian school and each day of Advent the children could contribute a piece of straw to a wooden manger if they had helped another child out that day. I provided the straw and the manger. The lesson was that each time they thought of others their acts of love were helping to welcome Jesus by making a soft bed for Him. When Christmas came we covered the straw with a soft cloth (after I fluffed up the straw a bit) and placed a little doll on the bed. We sang Happy Birthday Jesus and I could always tell they felt good in their hearts for welcoming Jesus through their acts of love.
