Itsy Bitsy Christmas {Review & Giveaway}

November 12, 2013 by Christie 22 Comments

Thomas Nelson provided a copy of Itsy Bitsy Christmas for me to review and keep, but all opinions are my own.  This post may contain affiliate links!

I love Christmas and everything about it!  Christmas songs, Christmas trees, time with family, good food, and the special moments I get with my kids!  This year will be Kharis’ first Christmas and I’m excited to see her and Moriah enjoy this time of the year.

Christian Children's Book

Another tradition we’re starting is reading Christian themed Christmas stories with them.  We’ve accrued quite a few over the last couple of years, but this year I’m excited to add Itsy Bitsy Christmas to the list!

In this story by Max Lucado, Itsy and his little sister Bitsy, two tiny mice, are anticipating a King coming to Bethlehem.  They hear that He’s coming for all, big and small, and they’re excited to tell their friends and meet Him face to face.  Unfortunately, when they deliver the news to their farm friends, they don’t seem as excited about the thought of a King coming to Bethlehem.

“Kings come to important places…and to important people.“, they say.

However, Itsy and Bitsy are determined to find this King so they set out into the streets of Bethlehem.  They look everywhere they think a King might be with no luck.  By the end of the day they’re discouraged and begin to believe that a King never would come to Bethlehem for little people like them.

As they head home, they stumble across a stable where they find their friends and Jesus, the King that came for all, big and small!
