Fundraising Opportunity for Adoptive Families

Most of you know that the last seven months of our life have consisted of fundraising for and bringing home our baby girl!  Having gone through three adoptions in the last two years, fundraising has become second nature for us.  We’ve realized that the Lord calls all of us to do something.  For some of us that means actually going (missions, adoption, etc.) and for others it means giving.  Today I have an exciting new fundraising opportunity to share with you!

We’ve fundraised thousands of dollars over the years and I’m always on the lookout for new ideas to share with my adoptive friends.  When I came across Teespring, I knew that this would be a great fundraising idea to share with all of you.

Teespring is a crowdfunding platform where adoptive families, or anyone trying to raise funds, can design a t-shirt and then sell through their online contacts; email, social media, blogging, etc.  What turns most fundraising families off is the upfront cost of this type of fundraiser.  With TeeSpring, there are no upfront costs as the t-shirts don’t print and ship until a pre-determined end date!  This means that you don’t have the hassle of guessing how many shirts you want to sell, paying upfront, and being stuck with shirts that don’t sell.

I really don’t see any downsides to Teespring.  For adoptive families, the biggest issue is cost effectiveness and ease of use.  Teespring offers both.  Buyers also have the option of having the t-shirts shipped directly to them or picking them up from you which saves them shipping!  It’s a win/win for everyone!
