Special Baby Gifts and Blankets

June 21, 2013 by Christie 1 Comment

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mommy Hot Spot’s Army of Moms for BabyBlankets.com. I received compensation for my review as a thank you, but all opinions are my own.

Before Moriah was born I never could have imagined how important her baby items would be to me.  About a month after we returned home from Florida our church family and friends threw us a huge baby shower.  I can’t even begin to explain what a blessing that was for us.  From the clothes to the wipes, we were overwhelmed.  I remember bringing everything home and it literally covering our entire living room floor.  I finally had to just take it all up to her room and close the door for a few weeks!

Not only did the diapers, wipes, and formula last for months, but the gifts of clothes, toys, lovies, and blankets have been treasures to keep.  I have a drawer full of her “first” clothes and she still sleeps with her blankets and a little monogrammed bunny.
Kharis didn’t have a baby shower, but some of her first gifts came from her birth family.  Her great-grandmother gave us a quilt.  Her aunts, uncles, and grandfather gave us stuffed animals, blankets, and outfits, and her birth mom and grandmother gave us outfits and items that decorated her room when she was a baby.  These items will remain special to us for a long, long time.
Because I now know how important baby gifts are and the symbolism they hold for the families receiving them, I aim to put a good deal of thought and time into gifts that I buy for others.  I usually do my shopping online because it’s easy and convenient, so when I was introduced to BabyBlankets.com I knew that it would be my one stop shop for future baby showers.  They honestly have some of the best baby blankets I’ve seen online and they’re affordable, too!
From lovies to sleep sacks, BabyBlankets.com has a little bit of everything, and what I like most is personalization is free!  So, the next time you’re on the hunt for the perfect baby gift, you know where to look.  Personalized gifts always end up in the memento box!
