If you’ve been around for a few months, you’ll know that we were called to adopt Kharis about 6 months ago and launched the 10:10:1 campaign a couple of days later. To sum it all up, our agency needed the first $10,000 for her adoption in 15 days. Within 10 days, the Lord provided it all through 10:10:1!
As I saw the Lord provide for our family (again), I promised myself and Him that I would do all that I could to help other families in the same situation. So, on Tuesday I received a tweet from Michelle of Tales of the Rogi asking if I would re-tweet their latest adoption update; they had received their referral of a little boy in Ethiopia and needed $5,000 in 5 days! I gladly re-tweeted, shared on Facebook, and donated!
On Wednesday, Michelle posted that they had received $1,800 in one day!!! As of yesterday, they had the $5,000 they needed to accept Little K’s referra…in 2 daysl!! How awesome is our God!? But, here’s where you come in…
Friends, I’m coming to you today to ask a huge, eternity impacting favor — would you prayerfully consider helping this family with the remainder of the funds needed to bring Little K all the way home from Ethiopia? They need approximately $10,000 for travel in order to be fully funded!
Remember Kharis? Remember the cost? Remember how you helped just $10 at time? Can you do that for another family today? If just 1,000 of you donated $10 each, their goal would be met!
I know most of us don’t have much, but in a country where it’s so easy to grab a coffee or a fast food lunch, I think it’s safe to say that we all can sacrifice one or two of those to help bring a child into a loving, Christian home. To help give an orphaned child the gift of a family and the gospel…it’s beyond worth the sacrifice.
So, if that’s something you’re willing to do, whether it be $10, $20, $50, $100 or more, head over to Michelle’s blog and make your donation through the PayPal widget in the top right corner or donate directly using the PayPal button below. And come back and let me know you did so I can thank the Lord for you!
And, if you’re a blogger and would like to share their story on your blog, Facebook page, Twitter, or Pinterest (use the nifty pin it button on the photo above), please do!
