You may have noticed that my sidebar has been a little empty over the last month or so. With Kharis coming home and trying to get into a new routine, I stepped back a bit on blogging and advertising. Now that we’ve gotten into a good routine and we’re sleeping more through the night, I feel like I can keep up with things a little better! A couple of weeks ago I opened my advertising options back up and have been blessed to have a few new (and old) friends in the sidebar!
Having my own Etsy shop really fits perfectly into my life as a stay-at-home mom. My husband and I have one daughter who is 7 and just finished the first grade. She was diagnosed with autism as a preschooler and my flexible schedule allows me to assist frequently in her classroom. This has been really important to our family and besides, who wouldn’t love getting to spend lots of time with 24 awesome first graders?!? 🙂
Several years ago, when my husband and I had just purchased our home here in Michigan, my best friend came over to visit. When I asked if she had any trouble finding the place, she smiled and said she knew which house was mine right away because the heart-shaped wreath on the front door practically shouted “JENNY!” That is what I would like to do for other families — create a wreath that is just right for them. Some of my favorite orders have involved making custom wreaths for weddings, baby showers, and nurseries. I know how important these occasions have been in my own life and enjoy being a small part of other families’ special days.
