As most of you know, we went to Florida last weekend to meet our birth parents for the first time. It was about a 10 hour drive so we decided to stay in a hotel the first night and we were blessed with new friends to stay with the rest of the weekend. Well, somehow we left the hotel without the Bible that we’d taken for Moriah…one of our favorites, too.
Fortunately, thanks to my partnership with Thomas Nelson, we have plenty of bibles to come home to! I love that Moriah has so many that are age appropriate and a few waiting for her as she grows!
Last month I had the opportunity to review Children’s Favorite Bible Stories. This is more than just a bible, but a family resource as well. With almost 200 bible stories, children grow in their knowledge of God’s word through prayer prompts and helpful introductions to the stories and books of the Bible.
This is an older child resource (think ages 6-12), but would be perfect to have on hand for when your child gets older! I also believe God when He tells us that His word won’t return void (Isaiah 55:11). I believe that’s true with this resource! It’s never too soon to start reading any sort of God’s word to your child!
Here’s what Thomas Nelson has to say about this great resource…
*ages 6-12*Great tool that can be used by children or as a family devotional*Includes classic Bible stories using actual Bible text*”Did You Know,” “Special Words,” and “Quote of the Day” callouts offer additional information and insights*”Going Deeper” sections provide additional reading and “Do It!” tasks help kids apply what they’ve learned
And view a few pages from the book here!
Today, one reader will win a copy of Children’s Favorite Bible Stories! Please use the Rafflecopter form below to enter!
Thomas Nelson provided a copy of Children’s Favorite Bible Stories for me to review and keep. All opinions are my own.
