The Sweetest Story Bible {Review}

December 5, 2012 by Christie 1 Comment

I opened the door the other day to a fun little package — a copy of The Sweetest Story Bible {Deluxe Edition} by Diane Stortz and narrated by Roma Downey!

The Sweetest Story Bible Deluxe Edition, written by Diane Stortz, brings forty Bible stories to life with vibrant illustrations by Sheila Bailey and audio CDs narrated by Roma Downey. – Zondervan
This little devotional was great for Moriah!  I call it a devotional because it goes through the common stories of the Bible, but not the entire bible.  This would be great for toddlers as they’re growing in their knowledge of the word, but should not replace the word itself.
I enjoyed that this edition came with two CD’s with each story read aloud by Roma Downey!  I found myself putting it on for Moriah in the morning while we had breakfast.  I especially loved that there was a “Sweet Thought” and “Sweet Word” after each story.  A little devotional, as well as a scripture verse to remember.
The quality of the book was great!  It came in a little case that held the hard back book and the separate CD’s.  The pictures were high quality and engaging for Moriah!  I would recommend this as a beginner devotional for any little girl!
I’m excited to see Moriah grow with it as we continue to raise her in the fear and admonition of the Lord!

Zonderkidz provided a copy of The Sweetest Story Bible for me to review and keep.  All opinions are my own!
