Oh, week three! I have a confession…
I have a persistent problem — I never finish what I start!
But, I am determined to not drop the ball on this one! And so each day I continue to think about all that the Lord has blessed us with!
After the events of last week, this weeks “thankfuls” came with some tears and I may have duplicated some, because I’m extra thankful for a few specific blessings!
My father’s health this Christmas, Shoes, God’s compassion through infertility, Fancy Little Things.com, Target!, Being a SAHM!, and Moriah (again!)
My father’s health: My Dad has dealt with heart and vascular issues for the past few years and he was in the hospital last Christmas. It was not how we’d planned to celebrate as a family. This year, he’s doing a lot better and it looks like he will be home for Christmas!
Shoes: there are so many that don’t have the simple blessing of shoes. I’m thankful for the number of pairs that the Lord has blessed me with!
God’s Compassion through Infertility: Five years into this infertility journey I’m thankful for the Lord’s compassion and patience with me! When I want impatiently, He gives me grace!
Fancy Little Things.com: I’m so thankful for this Christian community for women that I’ve been blessed to work with! If you haven’t stopped by and had a look around, please do!!
Target!: I’m thankful for one stop shopping and I just love Target! Moriah and I go there at least once a week! Who doesn’t love shopping and Starbucks all in one spot? I’m also picky about my Target and would pick Target over Wal-Mart any day!
Being a SAHM: If you would have asked me when I got married if I’d love being a stay-at-home-mom I would have probably said no! I wanted to finish my education and work. But, the Lord changed my heart and gave me a little girl to love! I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Moriah (again!): After the events of last week, I’ve had more than one horrible thought of “what if that was my baby”. I also had a horrible dream where someone kidnapped her! So, because I love her so much, I wrote her name down again!
So, this was our Thankful Giving Jar this week! Have you been doing your own jar? I’d love to hear how it’s going!

Awesome! I love Target too! It’s so hard to remember to be thankful for the little things and the trials. You know I read something in the commentary part of my Bible that really stuck out to me. It was talking about how difficult the journey was for Mary and Joseph and how there was no room in the inn and all that and it said something like “God didn’t make the road easier for them, he made them stronger.” I need to remember that when a trial comes up in my life because it’s so true. You become stronger through the trials. Your family has been in my prayers this Christmas season!
