Meet Amy of Amy Davis Art!

October 12, 2012 by Christie 5 Comments

Have y’all noticed the shop ads in my sidebar!?  I’ve teamed up with some great Christian Etsy shops and I’m really excited to introduce each of them to you.  As a Christian I want to support Christian businesses and promote them however I can!

I pray you’ll be as blessed by Amy Davis as I have been over the last week!  Not only have I had the privilege of introducing you to Amy, but I’ve had the honor of getting to know her!  I’ve had the joy of praying for her and I’ve been blessed that she’s prayed for me, also!  I can tell you, Amy is about as genuine as they come!

I asked Amy to introduce herself to you and to share a little of her walk with the Lord.  I pray that you’re impacted by her story as much as I was!

Hi there, Satisfaction Through Christ readers!
I am so excited to be here and be able to share with you all. I’ve been praying on what to share!  So many things have happened in my life since becoming a Christian, which was when I was in my early 20’s. In fact, now that I think about it, this past September would have been my 20th“spiritual birthday” – when I (finally) made the decision to accept Christ as my Lord and Savior.
I grew up in the Church…sort of. Oh, we went for the major Holidays – Christmas, Easter, or if the grandparents were in town. But I was not really a believer. I just wasn’t certain there was a God. I mean I wanted there to be, I hoped there was, but I just wasn’t sure. I remember praying, as a teenager, and hoping He could hear me, hoping He really was there. I knew things were not right in my life, but I just didn’t comprehend sin, much less this God whom I hoped was real, but I just really didn’t have any confidence in how I could know for sure if He was real.

Amy’s Armor of God Collection

When in college, I began seeking Him – I mean really thinking about and wanting to get some answers about Him and His existence. God is so good, because He led me to someone (my future husband) who had similar experiences and doubts as mine. My now husband, whom I met through family, was preaching the message in a way I had not heard before. His calling is to preach the historicity of the Gospels, of Jesus, and why one CAN believe in Him. His calling is to “hammer-heads” like me, who needed a more didactic approach to the Gospel. In other words, I “needed” proof, and it was proof that He provided. Of course, the Holy Spirit was at work on me, too.
I want to leave you with a quote, that I recently found & have been greatly blessed by, from “The Pulpit Commentary” (which is a multi-volume set of Biblical commentaries, written by various authors):
“It may not be my way, it may not be thy way, but yet in His own way, the Lord will provide.”

Amy’s “Women of Faith” Series

May you be blessed in abundance and keep your eyes on the prize – Jesus, our Lord, our Savior, our Boss. He loves you, He knows the hurts and sorrows you carry, and He cares for you. He also knows the joy that you, as His child, have and will have in Him, through His amazing grace and power. He desires relationship with you. Seek and keep on seeking, ask and keep on asking, knock and keep on knocking. He will surely bless you in abundance!
Yours in Christ,
Amy
