Jesus Calling Teen {Review & Giveaway}

October 19, 2012 by Christie 11 Comments

Since Q is a youth pastor we spend a lot of time with teens!  When I was presented with the opportunity to review Jesus Calling Teen by Sarah Young, I automatically thought about them; especially my girls!

I’m so proud of the group of youth we have.  They love the Lord and yearn to be close to Him!  I love spending time with them and miss being with them as often since Moriah has come home.  But still, they bless me and I can’t wait to share this with one of them!
I’m a firm believer in using the Bible as your main source of study when having your quiet time with the Lord!  But, there are some occasions when an extra resource can enhance that time with Him.  I believe this resource for teens is a great way for them to spend quality time with the Bible and the Lord.
Here’s what Tommy Nelson has to say about this awesome devotional!

    It helps me to meditate on His word throughout the day. It helps me to see things through the lense of His word.. It also affects how I treat people and how I feel throughout the day.

    Jesus Calling has been the perfect addition to my quiet time. The short daily readings are personal, relevant and they speak truth into my life. I often read them several times throughout my day. I’ve also shared them with friends and family (many are not believers) who have decided to get a copy for themselves! I’m so thankful to Sarah Young for sharing her heart and her gift of writing.

    Jesus Calling is a wonderful guide for your daily walk with the Lord. It has special meaning to me because I was blessed to have had the opportunity to have the author as my Christian Counselor many years ago. The Lord used her to bless me back then, and she continues to bless me as I follow her example in learning to listen to the Lord. How exciting that Jesus Calling is now available for teens as well! I look forward to sharing it with my two preteen daughters. I know they too will be blessed from this devotional. Thank you for the wonderful giveway. 🙂

    I had the Jesus Calling app on my old phone. It was a quick easy daily read…

    Doing devotions 100% affects who I am as a person throughout the day — it is SO worth it to keep my mind focused on Christ!

    Just found you through the blog hop and I’m so glad I did! I am a youth pastor’s wife too and love working with students (especially the girls). We have a two year old son and we have been praying about adoption – something we feel that God might be calling us to. Anyway, I would love to connect with you! I know that being a pastor’s wife is not always easy but it also amazing and humbling. Same with working with all those teenagers! Also, our girls love the adult version of Jesus Calling so I will be checking out the teen version for sure! PS – I am in NC too!

    Hi Christie. I love reading devotions when I wake and before going to sleep because it gives me such a peaceful start to both the beginning an ending of each day. It helps me to keep focused on what is most important and also gives me hope for what is to come.

    Thanks for giving me the chance to win this for my grandchildren.

    Hugs… Tracy@CottonPickinCute

    I really notice a difference on the days when I spend time in devotions compared to the days I don’t. I think it helps broaden my perspective. It reminds me of God’s faithfulness. And most of all, it fills me with joy and love.
