Q and I just got back from a trip to Atlanta. Each year we make it a point to catch one or two college football games. Fortunately, our favorite teams were playing each other this year and we made it a date to go. No baby, no dogs, just us!
Can I tell you what a great time we had!?
And, to make it even better, my team won! 🙂
As we enjoyed our alone time together for the first time since Moriah was born (she turned 19 months old this past weekend!), I realized how important it was to set aside time for us. We love Moriah and it’s so easy for us to just take her along wherever we go, but we needed this time together. I can honestly say this was the best time we’ve had together in a long time. We are so thankful for Granny, PaPa, Aunt Ashley, and Uncle Robert for keeping Moriah while we got away, but she was ready for Mommy and Daddy to get home!
Life can be so hectic and demanding. What do you do to keep your marriage first?

Hi! You commented on my blog and I came to check you out! You’re in NC and so am I! We also have adopted children. Hope you enjoy moseying around my blog (that’s what us Southerners say!) and I will do the same.
Marty,
Thanks so much for stopping by! It looks like we have a lot in common! I look forward to spending a little more time “moseying around” and getting to know you better!

Awesome! This is so important. Me and hubs don’t get to do this at all. It really puts a strain on things. We moved away from everyone for his job when I was 8 months preg. We don’t have ANYONE to watch our son. We had ONE date night since he was born and he is almost 3!! Take advantage of family that’s close by! I would if I could!! Your daughter is just to cute!!!
Jenny, thanks for stopping by!
We are sooooo thankful for being close to family. We lived away from our families for our first two years of marriage. I’m blessed that the Lord brought us back home before we had children. Wishing I could come give you a little night away!!

I am enjoying receiving your new blog post. I am also excited to see other Christians encouraging people with a blog. I am a Christian mom blogger with 5 children. 3 of them have special needs including 1 who has had 17 brain surgeries. 2 of our children were adopted at ages 4 and 7. They are now 10 and 13 and struggle with emotional scares. I grew up in Alabama but now live in Arkansas. We have many things in common. I look forward to reading your new posts. Blessings Always, Diane Roark http://www.recipesforourdailybread.com

I’m not married, but my parents always got away for their anniversary each year. I think it was good for them to know each year they would have one getaway.
Just found you via Happy Go Lucky and am your newest follower. 🙂 What a cute little girl you have!
