Moriah had her 4 month appointment on Monday! She weighed in at 15 lbs. 4 oz. and 25.5 inches long….my baby!!! That puts her in the 90th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height. Let’s just say, she isn’t going hungry!
Four months also means that we can start “real food”. A couple of months ago I started researching homemade baby food and found a site I like. So, we dove in on Monday and tried Sweet Potatoes with Oatmeal Cereal….she loved it!
My blender doesn’t do the greatest job but it worked well enough. I also used the ice cube tray technique. After pureeing I poored the sweet potatoes into a ice cube tray, covered in plastic wrap, and let them freeze. After they were frozen I popped them out (like ice cubes!) and placed them into a freezer bag. Now I can just take one out (1 oz. serving each) at meal time and thaw it and we’re ready to go!
We also tried bananas and we’ll probably try squash in a couple of days! In other words, Miss Moriah is doing great!
I pray that you are all doing well! I hate that I haven’t been updating as much lately. Please know that I check in and thin

She is just precious.
Christie – go slow on fruits and grains. Start on veggies only. She is still really young to be eating solids – just my 0.2 and all the research I have done on health.
SHE IS BEYOND PRECIOUS and yes she is not going hungry – love those thighs. Only time in life you can brag about them 😀
Hugs!

I can’t wait to start making my own baby food for Josiah. I hope he does well with it … he sure does like to eat that’s for sure! I bet he has Moriah beat in weight and he won’t be 4 months until June 16th! She’s so super cute! :0)
