With Who Does Your Identity Lie?

January 4, 2011 by Christie 6 Comments

Today’s TTT post is up on Jill’s blog. Thanks, Lexi, for your awesome perspective on “putting on the new self” and where our identity should lie as followers of Christ.
On the adoption front; the 2 social workers that interviewed us should be meeting today to discuss the families. Please be in prayer for us today in these ways:
  1. Pray that these social workers might have a personal relationship with Christ and see that as an important aspect of where “Little J” should be, forever.
  2. Pray for God’s will, either way, and that He would prepare our hearts for whatever the outcome might be; knowing that His will is perfect!
  3. Pray for the other 2 families, that they might now Christ and feel his peace during this time, and if they don’t know Him, that believers might be put in their paths to minister to them.
  4. Pray for “Little J’s” heart as a transition is approaching. Pray that his heart and mind would be prepared for a move and open to the love of a forever family.
  5. Pray for the foster family that has taken care of him for almost 2 years. Pray that they would know Christ also and that they would be prepared for a transition, as well!
Thanks so much, friends. Never forget…
The prayers of the righteous availeth much!
James 5:16

I was praying for you during our 4 am feeding this morning…prayed specifically that the SW’s would have time to focus on this decision & not be distracted by the many other demands that can come about. Love you!!
