It’s Tuesday!

December 21, 2010 by Christie 2 Comments

And, that means another installment of Teen Talk Tuesday and our interview for “Little J”!!!

I can’t begin to explain to you the overwhelming sense of Christ’s love that I’ve felt today. From the text messages early this morning, to the emails and Facebook messages; the body of Christ was bright today! Thank you, thank you, thank you for praying without ceasing; it means the world to us!

The interview went really well; as well as you could expect! The social workers were very personable and things went smoothly. They started off by letting us ask questions and then they asked us a few questions. I did tear up at one point when she was talking about his birthmother. Apparently, she keeps in contact with the social worker, and just by what she’s told us, I can tell that she really cares for her child and wants the best for him. I expressed that we want him to know who his biological parents are, because we see that as an important aspect of “closure” down the road.

She told us that they received 75-80 homestudies in response to his profile!! We are 1 of 3 families being interviewed. They will be interviewing the other two families tomorrow and they will let us know their decision by mid-January.

Please pray for our waiting hearts. Pray that we would seek the Lord’s face during this time and completely rely on him. We know that we’ve done the best we can and we offer it up to the Lord, knowing that He knows what’s best for our family and for “Little J”. Please pray that if he is not to be our son, that the Lord would prepare our hearts and help us to realize that He has something even greater in store for us. And, if he is our son, pray that the Lord would prepare his heart, as my friend Dardi says, “to love and be loved!”

My heart is overflowing today; with thankfulness for believers in Christ, with love for a little boy I have yet to meet, and with hope that our family will soon be a little fuller!

Love you, all!!
