It’s all becoming pretty comical around here, it is better to laugh than cry, right!?
Received an email from the social worker a few minutes ago. Because she didn’t get our homestudy to the committee within 30 days of our last meeting, her supervisor is asking that she have another face-to-face meeting with us tomorrow.
She did apologize for circumstances arising that have left us “on the back burner”, so to speak, and even acknowledged that the way the process has unfolded is unfair to us. She’s right, but we serve a sovereign God who is working the “unfairness” in our favor! How exciting is that!?
So, I’m off to clean…you’d think by now I wouldn’t care how my house looks…but, I do!!
And, I’m reminded of this quote…
“My friends, adoption is redemption. It’s costly, exhausting, expensive, and outrageous. Buying back lives costs so much. When God set out to redeem us, it killed Him.” ~Derek Loux
My glass is half full…

Every delay we’ve had (which, admittedly, haven’t been many so it’s easy to still be calm about it lol!) I’ve just told myself that it’s happening because God’s timing is better than mine.
I’m still impatient. But I’m getting better.
