So, guess what!? Even though we had an extra week to prepare for tomorrow, I still procrastinated. I like to think I waited ’til this afternoon to clean the whole house because, well, I like the fresh scent of *Lysol when the social worker comes in the morning! Ha, right!
Anyway, we’re ready for tomorrow! Yes!! 1 more to go…do you think I’m anxious!? Maybe a little bit!
Also, thanks so much for all of your encouraging words and prayers for my friend. They had a meeting yesterday and the social worker and guardian-ad-litem did not agree (one thinks the boys should stay together, one thinks they should go to separate homes) so they will be going to court to let the judge decide.
Please be in prayer about where God might be leading us in one of these little boys lives…yes, I said us! We are open to what God may have in store for us in this situation…I know that’s kind of vague but just mention our name tonight in your prayers! 😉
And last, I received my first birthday present today…a book by none other than…
The man on the left (the one on the right is just my husband!)…yes, David Platt’s Radical!
Q had the opportunity to meet him at a conference earlier this year. We’ve also been blessed to attend The Church at Brookhills in Birmingham, AL and hear Dr. Platt passionately preach.
I’m looking forward to diving in and seeing what God has for me as far as living a “Radical” faith for Jesus Christ. I’ll let you know what I get from it but I’m going to go ahead and recommend you pick one up 😉
Be praying for us tomorrow at 9:30am…will update afterwards!

Christie,
It is kinda weird to see David’s pic on your blog. I guess it is weird for us who sit under his teaching each week and see him as our “normal” pastor that we forget that there are many who listen to him via podcast all over the world! I am so glad you got the book…it is awesome but it is hard to digest in one sitting. I have heard David tell people that Radical (the book) took us (BH) years to journey to and through (and we are still journeying in) sooo….I will be anxious to hear your thoughts as you read!
Excited for your study tomorrow and for all that God is doing in your life!
