Our homestudy went great this morning! Like you ALL promised me, it was no fuss! 🙂
She was only here for about an hour or so because she had a meeting to get to, but it was very laid back.
She did give me a list of things to accomplish:
- Get physicals and TB tests.
- Buy a fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide detectors, and have the fire marshall come out.
- Make a fire evacuation route for the home and hang them in a prominent place (nothing like new decor!)
- Complete our family profiles.
- Get 4 non-relative references.
- Get 2 separate safes for firearms and ammunition.
So, looks like I have plenty to keep me busy until our next meeting on June 25.
I’m so excited to get this step in the process started! God is moving and I’m anticipating what He has in store for us!
Thank you all for your prayers! I could feel them in my calmness this morning!
Love you all!
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5:16

I do have a list Dardi!! They come in handy every once in a while. And I may have to come back to the blog to check them off because I’m bound to lose my little piece of paper 🙂

Are fires a frequent problem for those who adopt, because that seems like a common theme in you r to-do list.

Just found your blog and am so excited to see how your adoption process progresses. We are also in the process right now, & it’s always great to find others to share the experience with!!!
