Yesterday was a busy day…spent the morning babysitting, went straight to the oncologist for a check-up, and headed down to see Dad.
He had a hard day yesterday, which is to be expected. He has a lot of time on his hands to think about the “what-ifs”, etc. But, he also has a lot of support and people that love him and are praying for him. He’s had a constant stream of phone calls and visits…he definately knows he’s loved.
On another note…my visit to the doctor was prompted by hip bone pain. Because of my history (in remission for Hodgkins Disease 7 years in March) I automatically think cancer. The doctor ordered blood work and an x-ray…all came back fine. Praise God!!
On the adoption front…things seem to be stagnant. I HATE stagnant, especially when you KNOW what God is wanting you to do. But, I also know that God tells us to be anxious for nothing. I’m not very good at “not being anxious”. I want to get the ball rolling…but, God’s time is perfect….so I wait.
Continue to pray for all areas of our life…Dad, cancer, Q’s school, adoption, etc.
I’m sorry my posts lately haven’t been very thought out or put together…tis’ my life these days!!!

Hi Christie,
Nice to meet you, although I am so sorry to read about your fathers health right now. I will be holding him in my prayers.
Don’t get discouraged about the stagnant movement, if God has placed this on your heart, then I don’t doubt he’ll make it happen. Use this time to prepare. There is a yahoo group for families looking for agencies: Ethiopia AAR (Adoption Agency Review)
Along that line I’ve heard wonderful things about: All God’s Children (who we couldn’t use because they will not allow concurrent adoptions) & our China agency: CCAI just started an Ethiopia program. I’m not too familiar how that is going, but if their Ethiopia program is anything like their China one, you would be in VERY good hands. I’ve also known a few folks who used CHI and were content with them. Hang in there, you’ll get there :o)
