Blogging Through The Bible – Hosted by Women Living Well
Hey friends! I’m so excited to share some big news with you. Courtney of Women Living Well is launching a new super SIMPLE online Bible Study through Good Morning Girls. If you’re lost already let me explain. Courtney has blogged and ministered at Women Living Well for several years and she is a gifted teacher with loads of Bible based wisdom. Good Morning Girls is all about creating community among online Christian women AND offering a place of increased Bible Study.
What I love about Courtney is that she is REAL. She knows what it’s like to be busy (she is a homeschooling mom and a blogger, among many other roles!) She knows what it’s like to be hungry for the Word of God and feel guilt when the scriptures don’t make our schedules.
With an encouraging and not condemning spirit, she and her team (bloggy gals who love Christ and help out with GMG), are providing a new plan, a new goal that is incredibly simple, and DO-ABLE for all of us.
Read one chapter a day. 365 days a year. Until you’ve read through the whole Bible. That’s it. Super simple. Do-able. (Plus her plans are mixed up so you won’t get stuck in Levitical laws for two months! Thanks Courtney!)
For the bloggers out there Courtney is encouraging another layer of study by hosting Blogging Through The Bible. Same plans, except participating bloggers will post a weekly recap on their own blogs about that week’s reading. This means an extra accountability partner for me (all of you, hold me to it!) but it also will be proof. Proof for our readers who struggle with Bible study that it is possible. It’s do-able. It’s worthwhile. Proof that God can teach us, change us, even if we read just one chapter a day.
And He can! We are eager to see what He can and will do through this Blogging Through the Bible adventure!
One of my favorite chapters in the Bible is really short. Psalm 131. I think it speaks to the fact that during some life seasons we aren’t able to go through an in-depth Bible study, but God can work in us even if we don’t have ‘seminary minds.’
Isn’t that an awesomely relevant chapter? I love the last sentence. I think it’s a call, a reminder to focus on God. We have to remember to make our “quiet time” about knowing God more (finding satisfaction in Him!) instead of focusing on building our Christian vocabulary.
Stay tuned everybody as we start this journey and look for our first Blogging Through The Bible recap soon!
Let us know in the comments if you are participating in Blogging Through The Bible as well! We are so excited!
Oh Would You Consider Another Simple Weekly Journey?
Will You Pray for STC Blog?
Just a one line prayer, once a week & it would mean the world to us!
