Moody Publishers sent me a copy of Passion Pursuit for me to review and keep. All opinions are my own.
Sex
Oh, the Southern Baptist pastor’s wife just said the “s” word.
Is it just me or is the church pretty secretive and quiet about sex? I know the world has taken what was created as a positive, God-ordained institution and turned it into a sinful, lustful sport. But, I think it’s time that the church took back sex and put it in it’s rightful place; a place of honor.
Passion Pursuit is a 10-week bible study for women that “combines the psychological expertise of Dr. Juli Slattery, formerly of Focus on the Family, along with bestselling author and beloved Bible teacher Linda Dillow.” The study offers women personal insight, biblical teaching, and raw truth about a subject that so many in the church consider taboo.
Each week of the 10 week study consists of a theme and verse, five days of discussion, bible study, and questions, all leading women to understand who they are as women, wives, and God’s workmanship.
What I really enjoyed most about the study is the personal stories and testimonies from Juli and Linda. Although sex is a personal subject, I think it’s important for women to know that they’re not alone in their quest for a more intimate relationship with their husbands.
Is your sex-life struggling? Do you desire a more God-honoring relationship with your husband? Are you confused about what God’s perfect will is for your marriage? Passion Pursuit is the perfect study for you. Whether you walk through it by yourself or with a small group of other women, I’m confident that you’ll walk away changed and more aware of God’s will for you and your husband.

I would use this study as a personal study. Maybe discuss it with my husband, depending on the focus of the study (wife or husband focus).
Thanks,

I would love to win this! I have heard of Linda Dillow from a FOF broadcast and of course know Juli from there. I own/have read Juli’s book Finding the Hero in your Husband and it’s great. It taught me a lot. PS I also live in NC – east of Raleigh! Glad to have found your blog! 🙂

After 30 something years of marriage, I think God is just beginning to show us All he has for us as a couple. I would like to use this in a small group setting with couples our age that have been walking with Christ.
