Jen Hatmaker’s – 7 {Bloom Book Club}

August 23, 2012 by Christie 11 Comments

7 By Jen Hatmaker

I just found out about this Bloom Book Study this week, so I’m a little behind the eight ball!  But, I would love to go through the book together here on the blog and discuss it each week.

Jen Hatmaker - 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess
Here’s a little excerpt from DaySpring’s site:

“Author, Jen Hatmaker, along with her husband and her children to varying degrees, took seven months, identified seven areas of excess, and made seven simple choices to fight back against the modern-day diseases of greed, materialism, and overindulgence.  The result?  The discovery of a greatly increased God – a call toward Christ-like simplicity and generosity that transcends social experiment to become a radically better existence.”

I don’t know about you, but this certainly sounds like a book I could really take some pointers from!

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, check out the schedule here and grab the book here (on sale for $10, plus shipping)!

Leave a comment and let me know if you’re planning to join us!  Prayerfully, we’ll all have our books by next week (or you already have a copy!) and we can get started on time!

I’m looking forward to it!

    I read iit in February and re-reading it again. Hilarious, thought provoking, and poignant. I’ll join in on your discussion.
