A few of the schools around the area have participated in Apple*bee’s Flapjack Fundraiser in order to raise money for band and choral competitions. I had a wild hair today to call and see if you needed to be an organization in order to hold one. The manager didn’t seem to be completely confident, but she said that she’s had people do them to raise money for friends with cancer, so why not an adoption!
The idea is that you would sell tickets to friends and family members a few weeks before the event. Apple*bee’s would open up early on a Saturday morning, you would provide the volunteers (hostess, etc.), and Apple*bee’s would provide the food and kitchen staff! For more details, go here!

These are VERY good fundraisers and, considering the amount of people in our church that would come and support you, you can gather up a pretty hefty sum. One of the things that our choir did to raise even more money was a raffle for a Christmas tree at the breakfast. Of course you wouldn’t use a Christmas tree, but anything works. I think you have to provide waiters, but us youth will help ya’ll out.
