Well, Happy 2011! It’s been a busy couple of days, full of football, food, and family! We rang in the new year in style; in bed and half asleep! I just can’t keep up with the rest of you anymore! But, even more exciting than this new year is that it’s a new week! Yes, the Lord has sustained our hearts another week!
This week the social workers return to work and this week they decide who “Little J’s” forever family will be! I’m asking for continual prayer this week and praying alongside of you! Q and I have really been taking the last couple of weeks to prepare our hearts and minds for a possible transition to parenthood. We’ve prayed, read Shepherding a Child’s Heart, prayed over “J’s” room, and earnestly sought the face of Christ in it all. All the while, we’ve leaned on the promises of God’s word!
I thank you for praying for us thus far! I can honestly tell you that I’ve felt the peace of God this week in a complete sense of knowing that either way, He is in control and His will and plan is perfect.
After this week or next, whenever we hear “yes” or “no”, I hope to share with you a couple of ideas that I have and hope that you’ll pray with me for them and God’s will through them. Until then, my mind’s a little pre-occupied with a precious little boy and full of prayer and hope that we’ll be a family of 3, soon!!!
