Teen Talk Tuesday & an Update

November 2, 2010 by Christie 4 Comments

Head on over to Jill’s blog as she shares her thoughts on our topic for November; True Love Waits. Please share this with all of the teens and parents of teens that you know!
And, Q called the DSS yesterday that the two boys are with, interested in where they were in the process. Get this, they haven’t even received our homestudy! Can you imagine how my heart stopped, thinking about the possibility of missing out on these 2 little boys because someone dropped the ball!??
Well, I’ve called the supervisors of both of the boys social workers, contacted our social worker (who says, “There’s no excuse, I’ll get on it right away.”), and now waiting to hear back from anyone that can give me answers.
I have a copy of our homestudy and may be emailing it myself, so that I know it gets done.
Keep praying for us!

You know, I always like to assume competence, but there are times you just can’t assume anything. Arghh…glad you followed up.

So glad you & Q followed up on that. We have learned (the hard way) that we must stay on top of everyone to the point of feeling as if you’re annoying them! It’s sad to have to do that but persistence DOES pay off! Good for you.
